I'm a hitman. Not for hire in the usual sense, though. I'm the kind of hitman you call when your code is in trouble. When things go sideways, I'm the one who swoops in to clean up the mess. I've fixed more problems caused by poor decisions than most developers have shipped on a Friday afternoon. And trust me, I've made my own fair share of mistakes too. In my blog, I'll write about the messes I've inherited, the lessons I've learned from fixing others' mistakes, and how we ultimately got things back on track.
I've been building software for over a decade. My professional experience spans fintech, security and government, working across the full stack, leading engineering teams and shipping products from first commit to production. I know what solid engineering looks like and, more importantly, what it costs when you skip it.
I'll write about the technical challenges, the architectural decisions and the trade-offs that only reveal themselves at 2am in production. I'll also write about cool things I've built, discovered and shipped. And one day, when I find the words, I'll explain why I have a triple NAT setup in my home lab.
Though, if we're being honest, I did once try building a game engine from scratch when I was 14 years old...
